Droplet Generators: Creating EUV Light with Incredibly Short Wavelengths
We're excited to share one of our recent contributions: the PCB design for dropli’s demonstrator system, which explores how high-frequency microfluidic droplet generation can support the earliest phases of new product research and development.
This proof-of-concept setup uses water droplets, released at extremely high frequencies, to simulate the behavior of molten tin in Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) light systems.
In real-world applications, molten tin droplets are released and targeted mid-air by a CO₂ laser, forming a plasma that emits EUV radiation — a core principle behind advanced lithography systems such as those developed by ASML.
